View the World Upside-Down

Courage doesn’t always roar.  Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says, “I’ll try again tomorrow.” ~Mary Anne Radmacher

Let’s be brave this week and get upside-down. Inversions are a great way to reset your mind and make you realize that you are capable of more than you thought, and that fear is a useless, self-limiting mindset.  Cast aside your fear this week and join us for an exhilarating yogic dance of inversions!

Namaste,

Susie

  1. I love this quote, Susie! My yoga practice has been pretty inversion heavy (the studio where I’m taking now has them built into the sequence…a lot of them!) and it’s completely unpredictable how I’ll do. I think a lot of it depends on my mindset, not the physicality. Meanwhile, just yesterday my daughter was trying head stand –her legs would fly up vertically and immediately flip over to wheel. She did this like it was nothing! The fearlessness was impressive.

    1. I am glad you are doing so many inversions Elysha! I love them and I feel like it’s my duty as a trainer and teacher to help adults learn to not be so afraid of falling down or failing. When we practice with a light heart and don’t take ourselves too seriously, when we fall or fail we just get right back up again. Granted, sometimes we might get a little bruised (physically and sometimes our ego) but more often than not, we hardly even feel it! And when we practice with safeguards in place to ensure that we don’t go too far too fast, we find ourselves exhilarated by overcoming our fears and flying upside-down!
