Observe Your Natural Tendency

“The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And, because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change until we notice how our failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds.”  ~R.D. Laing

Spend this week noticing and observing your natural tendencies and your observation skills.  Observe your own movement patterns.  Observe your thought patterns.  Notice your breath in all situations; without judgment or plan to change.  Notice.  Observe.  Journal your thoughts at the end of each day.

Namaste,

Susie

  1. Great advice, Susie! To observe ourselves is an amazing skill, and it’s the first step towards making change happen.

    1. I love the quote; it’s so deep if we take the time to truly think about our lack of observation. Being pretty absent-minded, it resonates with me quite a lot!

    1. Thanks, Margy! I really like the quote :) It sounds a little like double speak until you really think about it.
