Slow down and Add One Part Natural

“Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.” ~Lao Tzu

Hurry. Our societal slogan.  We are always in a hurry to get things done that will always need to be done.  We then add one part  – the burden of perfectionism. Yet, do we ever really feel joy or happiness?  Perhaps in the fleeting moments between hurrying to our next perfectionistic endeavor.

My soul aches at times when I see the multitude of people who struggle through life without ever finding true happiness or any real answers to their problems.  But – I propose that when we slow down our expectations to continually do, we can manage to grab hold of relaxation and enjoyment.  When we lay down our burden of perfectionism to  pick up the support of acceptance, we can make a place in our lives for peace.  When we have relaxation, enjoyment and peace, we often find our answers.

Strive this week to do things naturally – listen to your body and respond with kindness; get outside and enjoy nature even when the weather isn’t great (of course winter isn’t over yet since it’s only February).  Stand in the snow in your bare feet.  Throw away some of your to-do list and learn to say the magic word, “No.” Perhaps the ever-healing and knowing hand of nature will help you find yourself and will reveal the joy you already have inside.

Namaste,

Susie
